Get involved in M.O.M.I.E's Total Learning Cis-Tem

M.O.M.I.E's currently is offering volunteer and internship opportunities in the following areas:

Tutors
Support our exciting, unique After School Program by sharing your talents and energy with our children!  We are currently recruiting young professionals, and middle, high school, and college students to serve as After School tutors for our Program sites in Columbia Heights and Brightwood.  Specifically, knowledge of teaching computer literacy, typing, writing development, and math skills-building is preferred.  *

Arts Educators

We are seeking professional, qualified artists who are looking for a dynamic, meaningful teaching experience with our children in the After School Program.  We welcome a diversity of disciplines, including but not limited to hip hop dance/break-dance; visual arts/crafts; poetry/creative writing; and theater arts.

Development Intern

Learn first-hand what it takes to sustain and grow a small, nonprofit organization.  This is perfect opportunity for students who are interested in fundraising for nonprofits.

Office Manager:  Support M.O.M.I.E's in the most critical way!  Help us improve and maintain our administrative resources, support logistical coordination for our Programs, and develop our administrative systems so that we are as efficient as possible.

*If you are a student at American University and have a Federal Work Study award, you could be eligible to work with us!  Contact Chitra at chitra@momiestlc.com for more information.
